If the people around you made sure you would shy away from making connections with other people, that closes a lot of paths for you to learn things that might lead to you acting in a different way than they were expecting. And they sound so reasonable when saying it that you wind up second-guessing yourself, because they've said they're going to help you...

Hmm... if it turns out they aren't already equipped to do that, do you want to try and work together to figure it out? I may not have any magic, but I'm not bad at figuring technology out. --Though I guess someone like Idia or Rene might know more.
I like that idea. We could even gather the four of us together to come up with some sort of plan. I would imagine all I need to know is how to use magic to connect our phone signals. The rest should be easy.
